Korean food is basically made with various kinds of vegetables. They are healthy, but spicy. If you are a vegetarian(not an extreme vegetarian), you will love Korean food. Even though Korean food consists of various kinds of vegetables, you will have delicious meat as well. When you get to Korea, you should try Bullgogi, Galbi, Samgyubsal, Bibimbab, Doenjanggook, and so forth. These are what most foreigners love among Korean food.

Remember, extreme vegetarians!! Even though vegetables are main ingredients of Korean food, almost all the Korean food has some kinds of meat(fish, pork, or beef etc) in it. If you are an extreme vegetarian (absolutely no meat of any kinds), you should ask the restaurant cook not to add any kinds of meat. Or you should cook on your own. Enjoy Korean cultures!!

Even though the Korean government says that it is safe to drink, most Koreans boil it before they drink. A lot of people drink a barley or a corn tea instead of drinking a plain boiled water.

If you are an American, a Canadian, a New Zealander, an Australian, or an English, you do not need any vaccination.

When you get to the airport, one of school staffs will pick you up at the airport. He/she will take you to your accommodation and show you around the school. You do not have to worry about being lost.

IIn general, Koreans are fun-loving. They love to sing and dance. After work or school, Koreans like to go to singing parities, dance parties, or drinking parties. Almost all Koreans are friendly to foreigners, and they are very helpful. If you try to be part of them, they are willing to have you as their part. Remember that Korea is a group-oriented society.

Cheating happens everywhere. Just because very few cheaters do cheatings, we cannot take all the other directors as deceitful. Do your best to avoid such deceitful directors. If any schools that GMSC works for cheat on you, GMSC will do its best to help you every way it can.

If you want to save some money, of course you can. The basic salary is between 1.7 million won and 1.9 million won per month. The income tax is low (4~6%), accommodation is rent-free, the estimate personal expenses per month is approximately 0.4~0.6 million won. The rest of the salary can be saved (If you smoke and drink, your monthly expense could be higher).

In general, the living cost in South Korea is a lot cheaper than that in North America or Japan. Here is the price list of some grocery items including transportation fees.     Korea has four distinguished seasons. In the winter, it gets a bit cold if Siberian wind dominates the peninsula. However, the pacific ocean wind overwhelms the Siberian wind, it gets a little warm. In the winter, Korea has a cycle of three cold days and four warm days. The average temperature of Korean winter is about between 0 degree and 10 degree below 0 in Celsius. Korean summer is very humid because it is a rainy season. You will really want to stay in an air-conditioned building especially for July and August, which are the hottest months in Korea. During the summer, hurricane-like typoons come at least one time or two. The typoon usually does not hit Korean puninsula but sometimes it does. The average temperature of Korean summer is 28 ~ 33 degree in Celsius. Korean fall and spring is the best time of year to live.
